Discover the full Fedgroup Trails network

100km of private trails. Endless ways to explore.

Fedgroup Trails brings together 100km of interconnected private trails across the Cradle’s most distinctive outdoor spaces.

What sets the network apart is the sheer variety of trails on offer, whether you’re mountain biking, hiking, or combining the two. With dedicated routes for walkers and riders, everyone can explore the network at their own pace and in their own way.

This stems from the fact that each route has its own character, terrain and rhythm, giving members the freedom to choose the kind of outdoor experience they want on the day. Some routes are relaxed and social. Others are faster, rockier and more technical. Some are ideal for a family morning out, while others offer longer, more adventurous routes.

All of this unfolds in and around the Cradle of Humankind, close enough for a spontaneous morning escape from Johannesburg, but wild enough to feel like a genuine break from everyday life.

Fedgroup Trails reviews

“What sets Fedgroup Trails apart is the sheer variety. We have developed routes for every level of rider, while investing in proper drainage, bridges and ongoing maintenance so that the experience remains safe, enjoyable and world class. This means that across 100 kilometres of interconnected trails, you can tackle rocky technical climbs, enjoy flowing forest tracks or take the family on an easy ride beside the dam. Every venue offers something different, all within about 30 minutes of Johannesburg”
Andrew GroblerFedgroup Trails Manager:
“I have grown up riding and building trails at Cradle Moon, so this landscape means a lot to me. Fedgroup Trails has helped us open it to more people, from first-time riders to serious athletes, while giving us the support to keep expanding and improving the trail experience. One of the things that makes Cradle Moon so special is its proximity to both Johannesburg and Pretoria. It is about 25 minutes from Fourways and 25 minutes from Pretoria, yet once you arrive, you are surrounded by open space, wildlife and nature. It is a genuine escape right on your doorstep.”
Aiden DottCradle Moon Landowner:

Fedgroup Trails has brought clear mapping, excellent signage and proper structure to the network, giving first-time visitors and seasoned riders confidence about where they are going, how far they are riding and what they can expect. Our partnership with Fedgroup was a natural fit because we share the same vision for creating safe, well-managed outdoor experiences.
